Paediatric Occupational Therapy

Paediatric Occupational Therapy is a specialised area where Occupational Therapists (OT) can work. This is where you work with peopple under the age of 18. As this specialism is defined by age as opposed to medical condition there is a vast range of skills required in order to meet the needs of this client group, their families, carers and teachers. 


Some areas of work in paediatrics are:

  • Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
  • Developmental delay
  • Brain injury
  • Amputation
